Eric Konopka, EA
Chief Tax Consultant

Eric Konopka founded NinjaTax and is its Chief Tax Consultant. Eric is passionate about both technology and finance and his career straddles both industries. Eric started his career in technology, serving as a systems administrator for a Web hosting company, IT manager and developer. He then went on to pursue a career as a financial institutions investment banker at Piper Jaffray & Co.; he subsequently worked for Bridgewater Associates, one of the largest hedge funds in the world, and Hudson Advisors, an affiliate of Lone Star Funds, where he made and oversaw private equity investments, primarily in the mortgage industry.

As a result, Eric brings a diverse set of experiences and skills and can provide you with insight in a number of different areas.

Eric works with all types of taxpayers on tax preparation, consulting & planning and representation. He is an Enrolled Agent (view enrollment card - watermark added for security), authorized to represent taxpayers before all functions of the Internal Revenue Service.

Eric is also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the National Society of Accountants, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Tax Professionals.

Eric graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in management science, concentrating in finance. He is an Eagle Scout and an Alpha Affiliate of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
