Each year, the IRS adjusts many tax figures for inflation: things like tax brackets, amounts of the standard deduction, etc. In 2010, because of the low or non-existent inflation environment, many of these figures are unchanged or little changed. Here is an overview:

How to read this table.The following table presents applicable tax brackets by filing type. Each row gives the marginal tax rate, and each column gives the applicable dollar amounts. For example, a single individual making $100,000 would be taxed 10% on the first $8,375, 15% on the amount between $8,375 and $34,000, 25% on the amount between $34,000 and $82,400, and 28% on the amount between $82,400 and $100,000.
